Useful travel tips for Northern Chile
It is easy to travel from Santiago to northern Chile –
to our meeting point La Serena Airport. There are airports available
in all small cities like La Serena, Calama, Iquique, Antofagasta
and Arica. There are also frequent luxurious buses from Santiago
to all destinations.

Before or after your adventurous
horseback trip there are various excursion possibilities for
you to choose from – here a few suggestions:
- Just 4 hours by car north of La Serena
there is an island called "Isla de Damas" where
you can observe dolphins, seals, penguins and birds.
- In Vicuna, 1 hour east of La Serena
and 1 ½ hour from the hacienda, you can enjoy the
clearest sky at night at the observatory Mamalluca and learn
more about the fascinating astronomy.
- There are plenty of romantic coastlines
and lonely bays to discover along the Pacific coast. We
can organise an unforgettable stay at a small and unique
hotel for you right at the beach.
If you have left some more time and would like to go further
north, we can highly recommend to stay a couple of days in
the desert area of San Pedro de Atacama where you can join
many amazing excursions.
